Welcome to Penryn Press

Where we platform and share student voices by welcoming them to submit reflections on world events, arts and culture, student projects and more!

A note from editor Farah Assi:

Penryn Press was founded by a group of students who wanted to challenge growing political apathy and make political discussion more accessible. We set out to show that politics isn’t confined to parliament or election cycles- it shapes our culture, influences our environment, impacts business and finance, and is reflected in the art we create and consume every day. Since launching in 2025, now Penryn Press (formerly known as Journalism Society)  has grown into something much broader. While thoughtful journalism remains at our core, we have also become a creative hub where students can pursue their passions and build a portfolio of work that reaches the wider university community.

We look forward to sharing a variety of submissions from poetry to essays to photography in hopes that Penryn Press will continue across generations of Falmouth and Exeter students on the Penryn campus.
